About Sahel App Vehicle Renewal – Kuwait Online

Sahel App is Kuwait’s unified government digital platform for streamlined vehicle renewal, operated by the Ministry of Interior under the New Kuwait Vision 2035. Available on Android and iOS, it enables citizens to renew vehicle registration entirely online without visiting traffic departments. The process integrates with Kuwait Mobile ID for authentication, Beema insurance portal for mandatory third-party policies, and technical inspection centers. Users can purchase insurance, complete inspections, pay renewal fees via KNET, and access digital vehicle registration in their mobile wallet. The service is fully restored as of June 2026, offering a convenient, paperless solution for vehicle renewal.

Our Mission

To simplify vehicle renewal for every Kuwaiti citizen by providing a secure, fully digital platform that eliminates the need for in-person visits to traffic departments. We aim to save time, reduce paperwork, and enhance convenience through seamless integration with government systems.

Our Values

  • Efficiency: Streamlining the renewal process into a few simple steps, from insurance purchase to digital registration.
  • Security: Protecting user data through Kuwait Mobile ID authentication and encrypted transactions via KNET.
  • Accessibility: Offering the service on both Android and iOS, with clear guidance for all users.
  • Transparency: Providing up-to-date information on fees, requirements, and troubleshooting to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Innovation: Continuously improving the platform as part of Kuwait’s digital transformation under Vision 2035.

Our History

Launched as part of the Ministry of Interior’s digital services initiative, Sahel App initially offered basic government transactions. In response to growing demand for contactless services, the vehicle renewal feature was introduced, allowing citizens to complete the entire process online. Following a system upgrade to the Insurance Regulation Unit, the service was temporarily paused and then fully restored on June 15, 2026. Today, Sahel App stands as a cornerstone of Kuwait’s e-government ecosystem, enabling thousands of renewals monthly without the need to visit traffic departments.
